The King James BibleWe believe it to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the only complete and final revelation of God to man in this age. It is the standard and guide of conduct and action for the believer and the church. The BloodHow much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance" Hebrews 9:14-15. "And almost all things [sin] are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission [of sin]" Hebrews 9:22. The Blessed Hope"... This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven"
Acts 1:11. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. The New Birth "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" John 3:3. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13. Eternal Life for the Believer"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" John 3:16-17. "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand." John 10:28-29. |

What is Galilee Independent Baptist Church? |
|
It is a local, independent, fundamental, King James Bible, New Testament Church. A church is not a building, or an ecclesiastical hierarchy, but a local called-out body of believers in Jesus Christ who are assembled together. We assemble for praise, worship, teaching, inspiration, winning of the lost, and food for the soul. Galilee Independent Baptist Church is a place where everyone is someone and Jesus Christ is Lord. |

Pastor Hensley is a native of North Carolina. He was saved in 1962 in a cottage prayer meeting. He was called to preach in April 1966 and began to pastor in 1968. He has started three churches from the ground up: Fox Creek in Burnsville, NC; Gospel Independent Baptist in Albany, KY; and Victory Independent Baptist in Greenfield, IN. He became pastor of Galilee Independent Baptist in June 2008. He is a King James Bible preacher. His goal is to lift up Christ to a lost world. |

Matthew 28:19-20 is the great commission to the church and plainly tells us its purpose: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. We are here to tell of the Gospel - Good News.
We are here to instruct believers in obedience.
We are here to instruct and direct believers in service.

Our mission is to build a church where everyone will want to come and worship. We are meeting temporarily in a double wide which as been converted to a church. Our plans are to fill it to overflow and build a church building in the near future. We had fourteen people the first day pastor Hensley was here. We are now running between twenty and thirty people. We have had thirteen people join the church since June. If you are looking for a place where everyone is someone and Jesus Christ is Lord, then Galilee is the place you are looking for. We have great singing and preaching. There is a place for everyone. We are working to have the greatest Sunday school in Elizabethtown or Radcliff. Come and see for yourself. |
